Camera history: Serial number 6003, one of the last 150 cameras made at the Chicago deardorff factory in 1985. This is the ultimate Chicago Deardorff V8 production, with the best possible parts and materials, best possible craftsmanship of all cameras to leave the Chicago factory over the years, building on 80 years of camera making experience. Many of these final cameras never made it to the US market and were shipped directly to Japan, making this a real rarity. This camera has a revised bed (and other parts), making it infinitely more reliable than various other production eras.
This is the ultimate 8X10 camera. Hand crafted to perfection in Chicago, IL, USA. Superb craftsmanship and materials, smooth gliding movements, a pleasure to use.
